Conditions of sale Warranties: Watt-hour meters remanufactured by the Hialeah Meter Company are guaranteed for two years from date of purchase. See details in our separate Guarantee Certificate. Hialeah Meter Company is also a distributor of new meters and associated equipment produced by other manufacturers. These products are warranted by their respective manufacturers, usually one year. Delivery, title and risk of loss: Shipments from our warehouse stock will normally be made the day after receipt of your order. If you are paying by “Check In Advance”, we will ship the day we receive your payment. (We will not wait for it to clear the bank.) Items not in stock will be subject to production schedules and/or transporting time from other factories. Title will pass F.O.B to you at the point of shipment. Risk of loss, or damage, pass to you at the point of shipment. We will assist you in your loss recovery. Excusable delays: Hialeah Meter Company will not be liable for shipping delays due to causes beyond our control, such as an act of God, act of buyer, strike, war or riot. Hialeah Meter Company will notify the buyer promptly of any material delay excused by this paragraph, and will specify the revised delivery date as soon as practicable. Taxes: Items shipped to Florida residents will be charged the applicable sales tax of the Florida County to which the items are shipped. Shipments to addresses outside Florida will not be charged sales tax. Transportation charges: Transportation charges will be added to your invoice. Limitations of Liability: Hialeah Meter Company’s liability will not extend beyond the intrinsic value of the purchased item. General: Products sold by Hialeah Meter Company will be produced in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended and applicable.
